INSPECTION


Our flooring inspection services include a comprehensive pre-inspection collection of all available data and client involvement. An all-inclusive inspection report will contain; chronological history of the events, statement of problem(s), claim history, product description, field test results, industry and manufacturer standards and a detailed description of the problem(s).

In our inspection approach, we investigate and ask the following questions:

  • Were the manufacturers installation procedures implemented?

  • Has the site condition and use been a factor?

  • Is this a manufacturer related deficiency?

  • Are the observed (current) conditions caused by a manufacturing related deficiency?



Our Procedures:

  • A comprehensive pre-inspection collection of all available data and client involvement. In addition, a chronological history of the events will be constructed.

  • Jobsite inspection, observation and detailed testing will be administered and documented. Detailed digital photography will be generated.

  • An all-inclusive inspection report will contain; Statement of Problem(s), Claim History, Product Description, Field Test Results, Industry and Manufacturer Standards and a Detailed Description of the problem(s).

Our Conclusions:

  • Our unbiased findings will be based on collected data and field tests.Ý

  • The responsible party will be identified.


This commercial carpet was inspected for seam unraveling, which was due to the lack or improper use of seam sealer.

This carpet was being inspected for wrinkles throughout the installation. The blue tape indicates the area and degree of the wrinkles. This was an installation related cause due to improper stretching.

The nailing frequency of this floor is being verified. The white sticks indicate the location of metal fasteners which are found with the use of a magnetic sphere.


The carpet sample to the left is the original berber loop. The sample to the right shows excessive wear and fiber loss after 3 months of use.

The white color sample on the left is the original color of this wool carpet. Exposure to sunlight has caused the change in color.


This floor was inspected for cupping which is usually associated with raised edges and a low center within the individual planks.

This 5" wide floor was measured for excessive gaps between the planks.

This engineered floor is being inspected for veneer delamination.
